Prime ore di Koh Tao
Koh Tao.
Un po’ a sud e un po’ a est della Thailandia.
L’isola si trova a nord di Koh Panang, famosa per i Full Moon Party.
E tutto quello a loro associato.
Koh Tao invece e’ famosa per le immersioni subacquee.
Qui tutto gira attorno al Diving.
Non ho contato i centri Padi e Ssi, ma se non sono cinquanta, ci siamo molto vicini.
Arrivo a Koh Tao su consiglio del mio amico argentino Rodrigo, fotografo e istruttore subacqueo.
Uno di quei personaggi giramondo passati per l’Old Fire Station durante l’ultimo anno.
Passero’ un po’ di tempo su quest’isola.
La sfida e’ quella di diventare Dive Master.
Il primo livello di istruttore sub.
Un pallino che ho da quando mi sono immerso sulla Grande Barriera Corallina.
In realta’ il mio obiettivo e’ quello di acquisire confidenza totale con le immersioni cosi’ da non avere nessun problema a scattare foto sott’acqua.
Vedremo.
Dopo poche ore posso solo dire che l’isola sembra davvero bella.
La spiaggia principale, Sairee Beach, e’ rivolta verso Ovest, perfetta per godersi il tramonto.
La costa Est invece sembra difficile da raggiungere, ma tutti mi dicono che e’ bellissima.
Nei prossimi giorni ci andro’ a fare un giro.
La strada principale e’ una fiumana di scooter.
Ti arrivano da ogni direzione.
La cosa buona e’ che tutti sembrano nati sulle due ruote.
Dalla vecchina che cucina sul lato della strada al lottatore di Thai Box.
Domani si comincia.
